The Arc of Central Alabama

The Arc of Eastern Elmore County

The Arc of Eastern Elmore County is a volunteer-based membership organization made up of individuals with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities, their families, friends, interested citizens, and professionals in the disability field.

The Arc of Fayette, Lamar, and Marengo Counties

A private not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, providing community-based services in three Alabama counties.

The Arc of Madison County

An organization dedicated to providing advocacy for all members of the community with disabilities. ARC of Madison County also provides services in job coaching, early intervention, adult day services, and residential services

The Arc of Shelby County

The Arc of Shelby County was founded in 1974 as an advocacy organization by a concerned group of parents in with the initial purpose to serve as a support for parents of children with intellectual disabilities. The Arc of Shelby County has grown from a small support group into an advocacy agency that has had direct contact with more than 1,500 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families each year. 

The Arc of the Shoals

The Arc of the Shoals is committed to securing for all people with developmental disabilities(DD), the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn, live, work and play.

They are further committed to providing advocacy and educational services for people with DD, their families, and the community at large. It is their mission to provide quality programs which are person and family driven, as well as value and outcome based.

The Arc of Tuscaloosa County

The Arc of Tuscaloosa County provides supported employment, prevocational, day habilitation, and hourly services to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities who are 21 years of age or older and reside in Tuscaloosa, Hale, Pickens, Bibb and Greene Counties. The agency maintains its position to advocate for the rights of all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and promotes dignity, respect, and choice for all individuals served.

The Arc of Walker County

A non-profit organization that provides services and opportunities for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and strives to create an atmosphere of dignity, family, and compassion.  The Arc of Walker County helps people of all ages through programs ranging from Early Intervention and Outpatient Services for children to Day Habilitation, Supported Employment, Residential, and Supported Living for adults.

Autauga Elmore Developmental Services, Inc.

This organization was formed for the purpose of enhancing the lives of people with developmental disabilities living in the Autauga and Elmore counties of Alabama. They provide an range of services, including rehabilitative training services and residential services.

Centers for the Developmentally Disabled North Central Alabama

A private non-profit corporation created to provide support and services for people who are mentally and/or physically challenged, or developmentally delayed, that recognize each person’s individual strengths, dreams, and preferences to empower him/her to live, work, and recreate in their community with dignity and the greatest degree of independence possible

East Alabama Mental Health Center

An organization which provides a continuum of quality, comprehensive, outcome-oriented, and cost-effective mental and behavioral health services to the residents of Lee, Russell, Chambers, and Tallapoosa Counties.

Glenwood, Inc.

An organization providing an array of services which are devoted to supporting and treating children and adults impacted by autism spectrum disorder and children with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Services include educational, vocational, diagnostic services and treatment based interventions which are based on best practice and dedicated to improving outcomes and the quality of life of every individual served.

Help At Home

Help at Home operates in 13 locations across the state of Alabama, and are able to provide communities across the entire state with services, including home care services, developmental disability services (home and residential), and skilled nursing services.

Quality South, Inc.

An organization which provides persons with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and other disabling conditions with opportunities and alternatives, including but not limited to: educational, recreational, vocational, and therapeutic services

Scope 310 Authority

A non-profit organization whose goal is to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The Sterling Company

An organization which provides a variety of services, including residential assisted living facilities, education and training centers, addiction treatment centers, and facility management.

Sunrise Group

An organization which enables persons with disabilities to live in their own homes, providing services to individuals with challenging behavioral issues, significant medical conditions and/or other physical disabilities. Sunrise Group encourages volunteerism of students attending local universities and community colleges. It also maintains a Supported Employment Program, staffed by individuals with disabilities who provide window cleaning services to community businesses while providing paid employment for participants.

United Ability

United Ability provides innovative services connecting people with disabilities to their communities and empowering individuals to live full and meaningful lives. United Ability envisions a world where disability is neither defining nor limiting.

United Cerebral Palsy of West Alabama

UCPWA is a nonprofit corporation that supports 16 counties throughout the West Alabama community. Since it began in 1962, UCPWA has been committed to advancing the independence and productivity of individuals with disabilities.

Over the last fifty years, UCPWA has expanded to include a full array of services for individuals with disabilities. UCPWA serves adults, providing early intervention training, afternoon programs, therapeutic services, summer programs, respite support services, and adult day habilitation.  

VOA Southeast, Inc.

An organization that provides services to the community, such as affordable housing, behavioral health care, community outreach, and disaster recovery, as well as services to veterans, the intellectually disabled, seniors, and youth

West Alabama Mental Health Center

West Alabama Mental Health Center is a comprehensive community mental health center providing services to people with mental illness, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse and children with serious emotional disorders. Through their prevention program, WAMHC helps at-risk and other students stay off drugs and in school. WAMHC also works with many community agencies to bridge the gap between services.
